"Swingin' Along on Broadway" is an original swing composition by trumpeter Buck Clayton, best known as the star soloist of the classic Count Basie Orchestra from 1936 to 1943. The tune was recorded in 1958 for Clayton's album Songs for Swingers on Columbia.

The piece is a riff-based swing number at medium-up tempo, firmly rooted in the Kansas City jazz tradition. Its melody builds through layered riffs that create a natural crescendo of energy, much in the manner of a spontaneous jam session. The harmonic framework is blues-inflected, centered on I-IV-V movement with Clayton's characteristically refined voicings adding sophistication.
